    ModSpace seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our North American team, operating from a base in Middletown, CT, in providing support services for our custom commercial construction work.


    ModSpace Project Managers are key contributors to the success of our high visibility projects through to completion:

    • Developing and managing project schedules and budgets
    • Performing estimates and takeoffs
    • Identifying and managing subcontractors and vendors
    • Providing proactive communication to customers, external and internal stakeholders

    Day to day responsibilities may include:

    • Developing and managing project schedules and budgets
      • Communicating cost, schedule and status updates to customer and various project stakeholders
      • Identifying problems and/or risks; suggesting solutions
    • Interpreting plans, estimates and quantities of materials needed, performing takeoffs
    • Identifying and soliciting subcontractors/quotes, supervising sites and subcontractors
      • contract documents
      • negotiating and coordinating the supply of labor and materials
      • negotiating and logging change orders
      • approving quality/payments
    • Maintaining project documents/documentation of construction progress
      • shop drawings
      • manpower
      • project forecasts
      • schedules, delays, changes
    • Managing building codes, regulations, standards and by-laws are observed
    • Consulting with architects, engineers and other technical workers to ensure design intentions are met
    • Developing service oriented rapport with Customers and act as main point of contact to ensure Customer satisfaction

    This is a permanent, full time opportunity to join a stable and growing mid-sized North American firm.  


    A successful PM candidate:

    • Has a Bachelor's degree (construction or engineering preferred) and 3 years of commercial construction project management experience
      • OR a High School Diploma with a 5 years of commercial construction project management experience
      • Including personally managing projects and subcontractors 
    • Is able to effectively read blue prints
    • Has effectively managed projects budgets and changes
      • Including use of construction management/project management software to produce schedules, communicate changes, process change orders, etc.
    • Is proficient with MS Project or other scheduling software
    • Has a solid background in building trades and/or site development
    • Has the ability to communicate professionally and accurately at many levels of an organization
    • Is creative in finding solutions or approaches to maximize return and customer service on projects

    This role requires regular travel including shift assignments on project sites.
