ModSpace seeks a multi-talented Maintenance Technician Lead for our busy Chicago, IL location.

  

Our Maintenance Leads play a critical role overseeing/mentoring the maintenance team and providing successful outcomes for our clients by:

  • Managing quality assurance of the work of both our in-house team and vendors
  • Ensuring compliance with ModSpace policies and safe work practices are followed
  • Performing inventory management and reporting
  • Troubleshooting, identifying and performing repairs/refurbishments on ModSpace buildings
  • Communicating with customers and documenting work in ModSpace systems

This is a M-F role with no nights or weekends.

(Occasional overtime may be required.)

 

Day to day activities may include:

  • Overseeing, training and coaching maintenance personnel daily
  • Ensuring workplace compliance and ModSpace Safety polices are followed
  • Troubleshooting, identifying and performing needed repairs to buildings such as
    • drywall work, installing/removing partition walls
    • installing toilets
    • installing/removing floor tiling
    • replacing/removing light fixtures
    • cleaning/painting
  • Inspecting buildings/recommending repairs
  • Communicating with customers face to face on site
  • Ordering or maintaining parts and supplies inventory
  • Coordinating or guiding external vendors
  • Operating vehicles or service trucks to deliver or move parts or equipment

To be successful, a ModSpace Maintenance Technician Lead:

  • Has a High School Diploma or GED
  • Has 8+ years of general maintenance/carpentry, electrical, or light plumbing experience
  • Is professional, focused on customer service and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills with attention to detail
  • Can learn to use ModSpace operating systems
  • Can lift/move 50lbs unassisted and climb ladders
  • Holds a valid drivers license and has the ability to drive a ModSpace service vehicle
  • Places a top priority on SAFETY
