ModSpace seeks an eager and engaged Staff Accountant to join the team at our North American headquarters in Berwyn, PA (suburban Philadelphia).
This is a critical role with involvement in many highly visible areas of our business operations, responsible for general month-end close procedures, including reconciliations and journal entry processing, as well as presentation of activity/results to Accounting team.
Key responsibilities may include:
Participate in the month end close process including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts and preparing account analysis
Collaborate with operations personnel and management to ensure visibility is maintained to key accounting data
Assist senior accountant with capex activities on a monthly basis
Form custom sale projects where the percentage of completion method of accounting is used for revenue recognition, assist in accounting, monitoring, and reporting.
Enhance processes and controls by improving documentation and workflows, where applicable
Assist with external/internal audit process, including assisting with the preparation of audited financial statements, footnotes and supplemental information
Provide support for year-end audit
Assist in other general accounting activities as required
Produce ad hoc reports and analyses as requested
Participate in user acceptance testing associated with system upgrades
