ModSpace seeks a qualified, experienced Manager of Financial Operations comprised of Treasury & Risk Management Program responsibilities to lead a team with specific focus on:


  • Cash and debt management, including debt covenant compliance;
  • Operational efficiency and cost management related to procure-to-pay process; and order-to-cash processes;
  • Risk Management executed through the Company’s Insurance Programs; and
  • Reporting platform improvements; roadmap assessment; and platform implementation;

The Manager of Financial Operations will report to the Accounting Director.


Treasury Responsibilities include:

  • Management of the Company’s daily liquidity position and short-term borrowing needs under its credit facilities
  • Credit facility covenant compliance & monitoring
  • Regulatory reporting, including borrowing base compliance, and financial metrics
  • Primary liaison with financial services providers
  • In-depth periodic cash flow measurement and forecasting
  • Analysis and reporting of financial activities including but not limited to:
    • Reconciliations & analytical analysis of interest expense and accrued interest, including intercompany account activity
    • Liquidity
    • Borrowings
    • Derivatives & hedging activities
    • Foreign currency translation
  • Management of operating budgets with focus on and measurement of cost optimization
  • Weekly and monthly operations performance flash reporting
  • Operational execution, performance measurement, and cost optimization of:
    • Procure-to-pay process
    • Order-to-cash process
  • Management, monitoring, and reduction of unapplied cash levels
  • Wire execution responsibility, including facilitation of requests and approvals within the Company’s scope of authority
  • Operation of effective internal controls including refinement and redesign when applicable
  • Assistance with internal and external audits

Risk management Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the VP Risk with the Company’s annual insurance renewal process; and ongoing insurance needs with its third party broker and affiliates for corporate insurance policies. In addition, the role will include assisting the risk department in broader business risk management activities related to customers, suppliers, and employees.

Other Responsibilities

  • System enhancements & upgrades, including development and implementation
  • Establishment, measurement, and evaluation of operational goals and priorities for all employees managed

For consideration candidates should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Economics
    • MBA preferred
    • CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry and operational experience
    • Interest rate risk management experience, including derivatives and hedging activities
    • Extensive experience with forecasting, foreign currency modeling, and transfer pricing
    • Cost optimization
    • Risk Management
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills including the ability to translate financial information to business consequences and solutions
  • Experience interacting with executives and multiple levels of management and personnel effectively
  • Strong background developing and implementing processes, procedures, and operational controls
  • Experience in training and mentorship
  • Systems – experience with Oracle preferred
